I joined Being Volunteer in search of a purpose. i.e., To help the underprivileged. Over the course, I felt changes in myself. Being volunteer taught me to take part in such things where you give yourself and others a chance to do something different for a noble cause. I remember is we volunteers distributing solar lamps to people residing on a hilltop at Mulshi who were far away from the basic need for electricity. We had a memorable 3 hr trek to the top and we did our activity as well. The smiles and satisfaction we saw on the faces of people made our day.

You can see a smile on children's faces in remote areas when they see solar lamp is given to them to study when do not have electricity at their home and they can’t study in the night. Really a great help by Being Volunteer to provide the means to help them in their studies.
I personally went with Being Volunteer to tribal areas of Akole Taluka in Ahmednagar district, Murbad taluka in Thane district, Paranda Taluka in Osmanabad district and distributed more than 1000 lamps.

I started volunteering for Being Volunteer about 3 years back. It's one of the best NGO I came across during my volunteering experience. Being volunteer provides multiple opportunities for volunteers to choose the activity/program as per their interest. You can select from multiple categories like education, tree nurturing, plantation, school beautification, etc. As I was more interested in education and the environment, I participated in tree nurturing and plantation activities. I really had fun while volunteering at these events.
