Tree Plantation and Nurturing Being Volunteer partners with local NGOs working for the environment and organizes tree plantation and nurturing drives as an attempt to make a small contribution to replenish Mother Earth . Corporates can also contribute by sponsoring the plants, including the maintenance cost, as well as contribute by engaging their employees to volunteer. The tree plantation drive started in the year 2014 at Chatuhshrungi Hill, SB Road, Pune. Today, Being Volunteer has been successful in planting 1000+ trees in five locations - Baner Hill, Mhalunge Hill, ARAI Hill, Hanuman tekdi and Chatuhshrungi Hill. It has engaged around 500+ volunteers from various corporates until now for planting and nurturing activities. | Sprint Activities Short duration (2-6 hours) volunteering opportunities for on-field social work, planned mostly on weekends. |
Tree Plantation Drives We, at Being Volunteer have been conducting these drives since last year in partnership with Green Hills NGO on Chatuhshrungi Hill. This plantation activity was organized every weekend from June till August. It received a huge response from the volunteers. More than 340 volunteers participated by contributing 600+ hours and planted 400+ trees. We took special care of the trees and ensured that they were nurtured properly. The survival rate of our trees is more than 80%.
