Old newspaper collection (Raddi for Sewa)

Raddi Donation drive is one of the sources of funding of Being Volunteer to be used in other projects run by us. The donation collected through these drives since 2016 has been used to sponsor 15 students. There are currently 9 societies and 3 companies who are donating Raddi under this project.

Vision: To involve the urban community at large in social activities leading to a better quality of life in cities.

Scope: Collecting raddi from societies, making them aware of social work activities, about BV and how they can be a part of it .

Under this initiative, BV collects old newspapers from housing societies and sponsors children’s education with the amount raised by selling these news papers.

Many local volunteers from the apartments are taking active participation and informing the members about the date and time of collection. Some members who do not have any raddi to donate are also making cash donations.

This programme has received huge support from different communities and we need more apartment  to pledge towards this noble cause. This programme is used for fundraising for Sponsor A Child programme.
